The Confederation Cup 2013 is in its most exciting phase and the fact that the first semi-final match is being played between two sworn enemies, both from Latin America, is also going to make the semis all the more exciting for soccer fans.

Both Brazil and Uruguay have a long history of enmity on soccer field and have produced some of the best games in the history. So even though another semi final is set to take place tomorrow between two European heavyweights Spain and Italy tomorrow, no one is talking about them. The whole world’s attention is now perfectly set for today’s match and people are expecting the match to be the best of the tournament thus far.

Though we had several great matches in the tournament so far, including the one between Mexico and Brazil, Nigeria vs Uruguay, Japan vs Mexico, and Italy vs Brazil, but given the importance of the match today the match is going to be the most fiercely fought of the tournament.

Brazil is the toughest team of the tournament and has a history of not losing any match on its soil for around forty years. Uruguay, on the other hand is going to challenge Brazil very seriously as they have been their fiercest challenger in soccer field in the Latin America.

But right now everything seems to be going in Brazil’s favor. Brazilian soccer coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is breathing easy right now. All the top players of his side are in great form and all are available. He is very confident of today’s match against Uruguay as all of his top players are available for the Confederations Cup semifinal against South American rival Uruguay today. The best thing that has also given him more confidence in his side is the fact that his defender David Luiz and defensive midfielder Paulinho will have finally recover fully from their injuries for the match against Uruguay.
