Bobbi Kristina Brown latest update: right nutrition, physical therapy may keep her going

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s health hasn’t given any sign of improvement in the last more than three months since she is on hospital bed after being found in a bathtub at her home. Her boyfriend Nick Brown’s brother said that she tried to commit suicide as she was under depression, while there were reports that she was under heavy drug influence. On the other hand law enforcing agencies are working on an attempt on her life.

She spent around two months at one of the best hospitals in the US, Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. But before the end of two months doctors reportedly told her relatives including her father that there was no chance of improvement in her life. Others said that she was brain dead as she hadn’t shown any sign of improvement, even slightest, in her condition despite being given the best possible medical assistance.

For around a month she is in the same condition, unconscious and unresponsive at a different rehab facility in Atlanta.

Doctors claim there is very slim or no chance of her recovering from her condition. She was reportedly without oxygen for more than ten minutes before being taken to hospital and this might have added to her woes. Extra TV quoted a renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Mark Liker as saying, “I’m sure there is a feeding tube that provides her with adequate nutrition, and a nutritionist that’s ensuring that she is getting the right calories and nutrients”. He is Medical Director and Neurosurgeon with Dignity Health Northridge Hospital.

While talking of physical therapy he went on to add, it “depends on her level of consciousness…I don’t know where she stands right now. If she is not able to respond, then the physical therapy is usually performed on a regular basis and it is limited to range of motion exercises, so they will move her arms and legs just so her legs and arms don’t go into a permanent contraction. Also, I think it is good to continually or frequently send impulses from the legs to the brain just to keep the brain as responsive as possible, and that could potentially give her better function over time, better recovery.”
