Blood Donation camp organized by Soch in JN Medical College

Aligarh: SOCH… beyond the imagination, a Social Organization run by the students of AMU students organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with the Blood Bank, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University. Professor Tarique Mansoor, Principal and CMS, JN Medical College inaugurated the camp.

Professor Mansoor, while addressing the camp, appreciated the efforts put up by SOCH and assured his support for all positive work towards the benefit of the students or university in any form. He also recalled about the medical team which was sent to help Nepal Earthquake victims by SOCH and said that it was a genuine step to help mankind. He also informed that the Blood Bank has been credited with “A” Grade, which is made possible by the efforts of staff members of blood bank and Dept of Pathology.

Professor S.H. Arif, Incharge, Blood bank said that regular organizing of such initiatives in and around the premises of University generates a spirit of sacrificing for a noble cause.

Dr Saleem Mohammad Khan of SOCH said that the organization believes on the principles of Mother Teresa and the entire camp has been dedicated to her. He mentioned that she made sacrifices throughout her life for the betterment of others.

Dr Danish Suhail of SOCH said that the organization is planning to maintain blood group records of all the students admitted in AMU which will help in the easy provision of Blood Donor of particular blood group.

Dr Smriti Prasad, Dr Sohail, Dr Sadaf Hayat, Dr Aliya Ahsan, Dr Talha Rehman from Department of Pathology coordinated the whole event.

Professor Mubasshir Yunus, Dr Murad ahmad, Ex President, RDA, Dr Asim Israr Khan, Dr Durre Aden and Dr Adil Ali were present on the occasion.

Faraz Islam, Daiyyan Usmani, Shamshul arfeen, Arshad, Wakkas, Furqan, Sartaj, Mohsin, Sameer Minai, Amood Gulzar, Shahbaz Sajid, Zaid Malik, Shantanu, Faizan Anwar, Tabish Ashrafi, Danish firoze, Talib Naqvi, Anas Ali, Thakur Vishant Singh, Ahmad Mujtaba, Mujib Malik, Noman, Abdul Aleem, Adil Saifi and Adnan from ‘Soch’ facilitated the organization of the event whereas technicians Aditya, Safiya, Shahnawaz and Qayamuddin were actively involved.

A total of 53 units of blood were collected. The donors included Shubam, Shantanu, Faizan Anwar from MBBS. Dr Mohd Rafey, Secretary, RDA also donated Blood
