In the meantime there are other details too. Best Buy is trying to perform better than previous year. The retailer is offering free in-home setup from Geek Squad and will kick off Black Friday shopping on Nov. 7. Almost every retailer will try to get the best out of the shopping season. Last year, consumer spent a staggering $50.9 billion during Black Friday. Though it was down from $57.4 billion in 2013, sales cannot be compared on any other day during that calendar year. As many as 133.7 million people shopped on the occasion. This year sales figures are expected to go down further and retailers besides manufacturers will try to use every trick to attract more shoppers.
