Big B, Deepika Padukone’s Piku box office collection Rs 5.32 crÂ
The film has at least three saleable stars and there is no fear that it will not do very well at the box office. On Friday when the North India, so essential for success of any Bollywood movie, was burning in heat waves, the film could still manage as much as Rs 5.32 cr at the box office on its opening day.
I am sure that the filmmakers must have taken a sigh of release. The film has three great actors in it including Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone and all the three of them are being praised for giving some great moments to the theater goers.
There is no denying the fact that for a low budget film that doesn’t feature one of the top Khans or for that matter Akshay Kumar, the opening day collection of Rs 5.32 crore is not bad, given the bad weather that has sweeped the whole of north India.
While talking about the box office collection well-known film critic Taran Adarsh took to the Twitter to share information on ‘Piku’s collections. He tweeted, “#Piku witnessed ample growth from evening shows onwards. Fri ₹ 5.32 cr. India biz. Expect further jump in biz today [Sat].â€
The film is a family drama that should gel well with the family audience across the country. In the film sultry siren Deepika Padukone plays the titular role of Piku, while Amitabh Bachchan plays her cranky old father. Irrfan plays the man who ferries the dysfunctional duo from Delhi to Kolkata and falls in love with them. ‘Piku – Motion se hi emotion’ must be a moderate success at the box office.
