Bhubaneswar Rajdhani, Sealdah Rajdhani train catch fire at New Delhi railway station
New Delhi: Not one but two Rajdhani Express trains caught fire at New Delhi Railway Station here. Thankfully there was no passenger inside at the time as the two trains were kept at yard and were reportedly undergoing washing and cleaning.
Several fire-tenders were rushed to douse the flames coming out of the two premium trains run by the Indian Railways.
While one train was reportedly Delhi-Rajdhani Bhubaneswar Express the other was Sealdah Rajdhani Express. According to reports, both these trains were parked in the washing area. No casualties have been reported.
A senior Northern Railway officer Neeraj Sharma, CPRO while talking about the incident said, â€œFour coaches of Sealdah and two coaches of Bhubaneswar Rajdhani express caught fire. No casualties have been reported and situation is under control.â€ Incidents involving Indian railway trains are not uncommon.
