Yes, the domination of Android, iOS and Windows Phone is to get stiff threat from the newcomers. Well, the Open is an entry level phone with feeble specs. Mozilla has announced that it is to initially focus on low-priced and entry level handsets.
The Open is to come out with a small 3.5-inch HVGA display and it will be equipped with 256MB RAM and 512MB of ROM. For sure, ZTE has aimed the device at the “young adventurous users who want to try something different.” “Mozilla’s Firefox OS is HTML5-based and completely open source so ZTE Open users will be able to run web apps and view their favorite websites without losing any of the features they love,” ZTE said.
Alcatel One Touch Fire: Yes, it is yet another entry-level Firefox OS phone demoed at the Mobile World Congress. The Alcatel phone is to come up with a single core 1GHz Qualcomm processor. The device sports a small 3.5-inch HVGA TN display so like the Open from ZTE. And, it has features like 3.2MP rear camera, 512MB NAND, 256MB RAM, 32GB microSD slot, 1400 mAh battery and a much more.
Nokia 301 &105: Apart from its new WP 8 smartphones, Nokia surfaced a pair of quality feature phones as well at MWC 2013. The Nokia 301 is a typical phone with a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT color display. It has a 256MB of memory, 64MB RAM and 32GB microSD card. The handset has features like 2.0mm charger connector, 3.5mm AV connector, Bluetooth 3.0 and a lot more. The rather cheaper model of the line the Nokia 105 has a 1.45-inch 65k color TFT display and it has 8MB of ROM. It has 2.0 mm charger connector and 3.5mm AV connector as connectivity options.
