Barcelona vs. Real Madrid: Score, goals and highlights, Barca’s tactics worked well
Barcelona are heading to another great season this year. Many of their fans, given their team’s excellent run thus far, are sure that they are going to top the season again. Their happiness knows no bounds as their team scored another impressive win over Real Madrid.
There is no denying the fact that Barcelona’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid came after perspiration, anxiety, frustration and hard work. But as a win, and that too against a formidable opponent, the team, its management and its millions and millions of fans across the world are super excited.
But many people may remember the match more for fouls than anything else, besides of course the melodramatic reactions to those fouls that seem to be occurring far too often.
But there is no denying the fact that the title race is far from over. Soccer fans are well aware that merely a few weeks ago, Real Madrid who are looking down and out were four points ahead themselves. Nonetheless now the momentum seems to be with Barcelona and they are going to feel its advantage in the coming days.
After the exciting win Barcelona coach said, “Teams like Madrid push you to the limit, both physically and mentally. We made a great effort, especially as we played in midweek. We came out on top and we’re very happy. … We started well. We controlled the game and scored, and that’s when they began to push forward. We gave them too much space and lost the ball too often. In the second half we reorganised ourselves. We scored and started playing our own gameâ€.
A very happy looking Barcelona coach who was grinning from ear to ear said, “There’s a long way to go [in the league] and we have the Champions League too. We’d be wrong to ease off. We’ve given ourselves a good chance and we just have to keep goingâ€.
