Ban condemns Bardo Museum attacks

NEW YORK: UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned in the strongest terms the attack against the Bardo Museum in central Tunis and deplored the loss of life.

In a statement, Ban conveyed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims of this “deplorable act.” He also expressed his solidarity with the Tunisian people and the Tunisian authorities.

Earlier today, in Tunisia, a terrorist operation targeted Bardo National Museum and resulted in the death of more than 20 people and injured more than 50.
