Following HTC and Nokia, Asus and LG have also publicized their MWC media events. The Taiwan and South Korean tech makers are to launch their line of new products on their Feb. 25 media events. It is the first day of the tech trade show, which is to be held in Barcelona, Spain. The companies are expected to launch their new products in the press meets. Here we make a look into the major products the firms are hoped to roll out at their press conferences.

Asus
In its invite for the MWC press event, the Taiwan tech maker has simply noted that the event is “in search of incredible.” Yes, Asus will be planning to launch its latest products for the year. There is no hint on the possible new products from the company. It may include a line of tablets and smartphones. As per rumors, Asus will be unveiling its long-rumored 7-inch Fonepad, U.K. version of PadFone 2 and others.

The Fonepad will be an Intel-powered tablet PC. The device, codenamed ME371MG, will possibly tout a 7-inch IPS display and it will be powered by a 1.2GHz Atom Z2420 processor, plus 1GB RAM. It will have 8GB or 16GB built-in memory options. The device will be running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of box. As per some rumors, the Fonepad will be priced at 7,900 Thai baht (around $265).

The PadFone is an innovative gadget from Asus. It merges both a handset and tablet. Along with the smartphone, it has a tablet accessory that can house the phone portion for enhanced experience. The new version of the device, PadFone 2, is up with a quad core processor and other advanced specs. It is long expected to arrive in the U.K. The Taiwan tech firm is most likely to roll out the U.K. edition of PadFone 2 at the MWC 2013.

LG
The South Korean firm has released a video trailer that talks about the MWC media event of the company. It is hoped that LG would launch a range of new phones in the event. The company is reportedly working on a series of advanced Android phones for release at the tech trade fair. LG’s new video clip regarding the MWC show has many superlatives to define its new products. Tech blogs are now talking about those phrases that LG noted in the video trailer.

Interestingly, the company has used wordings like ‘Premium,’ ‘Ultimate,’ ‘Innovative,’ ‘Speedy,’ ‘Powerful,’ ‘Creative’ and ‘Stylish’ in the video clips. It certainly indicates the confidence of the company to come up with a variety of quality devices. The LG video ends with a promise of “unlimited possibilities.” Well, it is great to know that LG is working to bring about some more nice devices at the trade show.

As per rumors, LG is to showcase a row of new Android phones in the event. As well, it will most likely release a number of Windows Phone 8 devices. The company is also one of the key OEMs of Microsoft. Along with some smartphones, it may also launch tablets for both Android and WP 8 at the tech trade fair. At the last year’s show, LG launched devices line the Optimus L3, L5, L7, Optimus 4X HD and Vu.

This time, LG has already announced a device called the Optimus G Pro for Japan in association with the carrier NTT DoCoMo. The Pro is 5-inch handset with a full-HD screen.
