The two are set to fight a hard-fought battle here in parliamentary elections. People wonder as to who will win Arvind Kejriwal vs Narendra Modi war in Varanasi?

As Parliamentary elections 2014 peak all eyes are on Varanasi. The city is at the centre of attraction since Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi announced his candidature from here. And when Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal announced his decision to fight against Modi the battle ground shifted to this city.

Now it is to be seen whom will Congress file from this constituency. Though many big names have been doing the rounds it appears that the party is yet to finalize on its candidate.

All told, one man who is giving sleepless night to the BJP is Kejriwal. The election campaign reached high pitch after former Delhi chief minister reached the city. Despite attracting huge crowds during his rally there was high drama too. Eggs and ink were thrown at Kejriwal, who once was an activist. But these activities didn’t deter Kejriwal from challenging Modi for an open debate on the Gujarat’s development model. Besides, attacking Modi during his huge rally, he also took on Rahul Gandhi.

Before officially declaring his name as a contestant from Varanasi, he sought his supporters’ views. “I want to ask you whether I should contest from Varanasi against Narendra Modi. I am ready to accept this challenge,” he thundered at the rally.
