More and more reports are appearing about the introduction and release date of next generation Apple tablet iPad 5. Reports suggest it will come with IGZO screen and 4G connectivity

Apple has recently introduced an iPad 4 version with its largest ever storage option. The new iPad 4 comes with 128 GB storage and reports suggest that Cupertino based company is working hard to ward of any threat to its dominance from software giant Microsoft that is set to introduce its next generation Surface Pro tablet with full Windows 8 operating system, and not a truncated one that came with its first tablet Surface RT.

Though there is still no serious threat to Apple’s dominance in the fast flourishing tablet market and it is a dominant player in the market despite the launch of several great tablets in the form of Google, Nexus 7, Google Nexus 10, Amazon Kindle Fire HD besides a couple of Samsung and Sony tablets. To be true, none of these tablets, despite coming with great specs and features, besides of course great looks was able to challenge Apple’s strangle hold on the tablet market.

But Apple had to take this drastic step of launching a 128 GB version of its latest tablet version in the market just before the introduction of Redmond-based software giant’s Microsoft Surface Pro. The tab that will come with Intel’s third generation i5 processor makes it as much useful as an ultrabook.

Notwithstanding the introduction of a bigger capacity tablet, there are rumors that Apple is preparing to launch the next version of iPad in the next few months. Apple is reportedly planning to come out with its next generation tablet that should be called iPad 5. Leaked pictures of supposed iPad 5’s back case from a Chinese technology company show some important changes in its style. The leaked casing has rounder corners and edges, and is significantly smaller and shorter than the previous iPad. Many long time Apple watchers suggest that Apple may keep the screen of the same iPad 4 size. But the company will try to make the pillars supporting the screen as small as possible, leaving just enough room for the camera and home button, making the end product all the more attractive for Apple fans. This will be something different from the iPad 4 that came with similar size and style as it previous version iPad 3.

Many leaks and rumors are floating around about the improvements that Apple will make in its forthcoming tab to continue its dominance in the market. A highly speculative report says that the next generation of big iPad will come with an Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide screen, making it far thinner than the present versions. In the meantime a 9to5Mac report goes on to say, “While we cannot confirm that the above image is legitimate, it does provide a solid representation of what Apple’s next iPad will likely look like. We were told this is a prototype back piece for the fifth-generation iPad with a 9.7-inch display. We were also told that the casing is almost as thin as the iPad mini’s back (pictured to the right). As you can see at the top of the purported iPad 5 backplate, this casing would likely be for an LTE model – as the black antenna cut implies”. Apple is trying to do everything under its powers to keep its iPad a step ahead of its competitors. Only time will tell if it was successful in its endeavour.

Meanwhile another report suggests that Cupertino based company’s next generation tablet will come with 4G connectivity option. An image on 9to5Mac shows a black antenna cut at the top of the plate, which suggests the iPad 5 will have 4G connectivity. But apparently all these are rumors and Apple will not speak before the launch of the product.
