New Delhi: Apeejay School of Management, New Delhi, Indiaâ€™s one of the leading educational institutions, today organized its 12th Convocation ceremony at its Dwarka campus. Mrs. Sushma Berlia, President, Apeejay Education Society, delivered the convocation address and conferred Diplomas upon 451 graduating students. Mrs. Berlia also administered â€˜Graduating Oathâ€™ of ethical conduct to all recipients of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management. Apeejay School of Management is among the pioneers in administering the â€˜Management Graduation Oathâ€™ to foster ethical behaviour amongst budding managers.
â€˜Young managers need to work toward inclusive growth in order to bridge the gap between the rich and the poorâ€™, observed Mrs Berlia while delivering the Convocation address. â€˜All our efforts should conform to human values so that economic inequality may shrinkâ€™, she added. Mrs Berlia urged the graduating students to work sincerely to realize their dreams and encouraged them to struggle for success even in times of crises and rejection. She paid glowing tributes to Late Dr Stya Paul, Founder Chairman, Apeejay Education Society, in her convocation address. Mrs Berlia told the students that Dr. Stya Paul had succeeded despite all odds and handicaps because he always had utmost faith in his dreams.
In the convocation 30 students received medals for their outstanding performance. Nine students received gold medals for overall outstanding performance in different programmes while eight students received silver medals for being second topper in different programmes. Thirteen students received silver medal for outstanding performance in different subject areas viz. Human Resource Management, Marketing and Finance.
Earlier, Dr Alok Saklani, Director, Apeejay School of Management, presented an annual report and outlined the accomplishments of the institute in education, research, and publications. The convocation ceremony was attended by a galaxy of scholars, members of the Governing Body and Academic Council, graduating students and their parents.
