So finally there is some forward movement in this regard. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is coming soon while Android 5 Key Lime Pie release date in 2014

So finally there is some real movement regarding the arrival of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. Latest reports coming from Google’s Mountain View office suggest that the search giant is all set to launch the latest Android version pretty soon. For month we have been awaiting the arrival of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version and many had thought that Google will launch the next version in the Coogle Conference held un May this year. But so far only disappointment was in store.

Many Google analysts were believing that the search giant will launch a more comprehensive upgrade version of its mobile operating system Android 5 Key Lime Pie by now. But not just Key Lime Pie is not here, even Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is yet to arrive on Android smartphones and tablets. But now after long wait, there is a ray of hope for Android fans across the world.

A latest report suggests that Samsung’s latest handset Galaxy S4 has been seen with Android 4.3 and snapshots actually prove it beyond doubt. Screenshots of a Samsung Galaxy S4 with Snapdragon CPU have leaked to web running the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, not Key Lime Pie. The model number of the device is I9505 and it looks that the new Jelly Bean (build number JWR66N.S005.130625) was reportedly designed for the Google Edition of Galaxy S4, which has just gone for sales in U.S. on June 26. Looking at the screenshots, we can’t get a clear idea about the new traits of Android 4.3. It just shows that it has a new camera user interface that you can see in HTC One as well as Galaxy S4 Google Edition. It is anyway clear that Google has decided to keep Jelly Bean name to its new Android version, not Key Lime Pie, which may be the codename of the next major release of the Android next year possibly.
On the other hand reports indicate that the next major upgrade, Android 5 being called Key Lime Pie is still a long time away. Wall Street Journal has reported that the Key Lime Pie update of Android will be ‘better tailored to the lower-cost smartphones’ and it will come out late this year or next year. It is also said that Google itself is working to roll out many low-cost devices without OEM branding. The WSJ report also states that Google is again working to realize an Android based game console, smartwatch as well as a new upgrade to its Nexus Q music streaming service. The Android gaming console will be taking on the rivals such as Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation.

In the meantime reports of the imminent arrival of a Google smartwatch are doing the rounds. A smartwatch from Google will be a great idea. It might be a strong rival to the similar products from the firms like Sony and others. Even Apple and Samsung are rumored to soon release such products as extensions to their handsets and tablets. So it is sensible to expect for an Android-based smartwatch from Google.
