AMU students win ‘Best Script’, ‘Best Director’ etc prizes

Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University Drama Club team bagged the ‘Best Script’, ‘Best Director’ and the ‘Third Best Production’ awards at the “Josh Vihangam 2016”, a National Inter University theatre competition held at Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi. The team won a total cash prize of Rs 34,000/- at the event.

The production of the AMU student’s team “Laal Basta”, written by Ankit Malik and Zameer Ahmad and directed by Obaid-Ur-Rahman, won them the prominent awards at the national level competition in which teams of various universities of India participated.

The cast of the play included Zameer Ahmad, Razia Khanam, Rubab Hasan, Mirza Altaf Beg, Faisal Jameel, Ankit Malik and Moazzam Ahmad. The production team comprised of Talha Thakur, Amit Kumar and Ahmed Omair.
