AMU students secure top positions in JAM-2015

Aligarh: At least three students of Aligarh Muslim University’s Department of Geology have secured first and third positions in the All India – Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM)-2015 conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). While, Mr Mohd Rizwan and Mr Abdul Saleem A have shared the first positions, Mr Anuj Garg was ranked third in the All India Test. The three position holders are among 15 students of Department of Geology who have qualified the JAM Test.

The other students to have qualified the JAM-2015 Test include Mr Shadab Ahmad, Mr Yogesh Kumar, Mr Nohid Khan, Mr Aquib Khursheed, Ms Almas Afreen, Mr Sajid Ali, Mr Pritam Thomas, Mr Affan Ahmad, Mr Ajay Verma, Mr Mohd Shoeab, Mr Ejaj Khan and Mr Masrul Islam.

“The success of these students is a testimony to their hard work, dedication and guidance offered by the faculty members. The Department will continue to provide them facilities for excelling in their careers,” said Professor Rahimullah Khan, Chairman, Department of Geology, AMU.
