AMU news today: Training program for Ph. D students conclude at UGC HRDC, AMU
ALIGARH May 25: The two weeks research Methodology Training Programme for Ph.D. Students concluded at the UGC Human Resource Development Centre, Aligarh Muslim University. The program was sponsored by the ICSSR.
Addressing the Valedictory function the Chief Guest Professor Hamida Ahmad, former Dean Faculty of Social Science, AMU and member of UGC encouraged the research scholars to maintain discipline and regularity in their academic pursuits.
Dr Faiza Abbasi, Co-coordinator of the course and Asst. Professor, UGC HRDC, AMU conducted the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. Professor Akbar Husain, Dept. of Psychology, AMU coordinated the workshop and planned for the various components of the programme.
Earlier the training programme started on 30 March, 2015 with the inaugural address by Professor N A K Durrani, Dean, Faculty of Social Science, AMU.
Atleast 29 research scholars from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra, BR Ambedkar University, Agra, Lucknow University, Jamia Millia Islamia and AMU, belonging to various disciplines of Social Sciences like Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Economics and Political Science had enrolled for this workshop.
