AMU Chancellor initiates STS School Restoration Work

Aligarh, February 26: Aligarh Muslim University Chancellor, His Holiness Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin today visited the Syedna Tahir Saifuddin (STS) School and initiated the restoration work by brushing the foundation stone of the school.
It may be noted that a comprehensive restoration project of STS School’s glorious building has been undertaken by Dawat-e-Hadiya, Badri Mahal Mumbai, under the command of His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin.

Addressing at a function held in the STS School, His Holiness said that the visit to the school brought memories associated with his grandfather, late Syedna Tahir Saifuddin after whom the school is named. His Holiness pointed out that STS school was a part of International Heritage and the fact that STS school students received education with moral value learning and extra-curricular activities made this school stand apart.

During his address, His Holiness further said that the mission of the last Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was to eradicate ignorance through the wisdom of Deen (belief). He added that it was important to propagate knowledge with Sabr (patience and perseverance) and expand education to all corners of our country and the world.

He urged the students to have big visions and aims in life and to work hard for their successes. He added that with the hard work, the students should also be ready to serve humanity in the best possible ways.

Earlier, the AMU Chancellor paid rich tributes at the grave of AMU founder, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. He also visited the Musa Dakri Museum. His Holiness will preside over the AMU Convocation scheduled for February 27.

Presiding over the function, the AMU Vice Chancellor Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) said that the standard of STS School as a feeder institution will reflect the academic standard of AMU.

The Vice Chancellor said that special emphasis is being given to Information Technology (IT) and the University administration has already recommended IT education at AMU schools, including STS School from class I.
