Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is hogging the limelight since its launch a few weeks ago. Notwithstanding the fact that a number of tablets have been introduced in the market by variety of technology companies, Kindle Fire HD stands its own and is not eclipsed by other mighty companies and their tablets

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was all excited following the launch of this excellent tab when he said “we made the best tablet at any price.”

Amazon, the online retail giant’s decision amazed everyone when it launched Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9. The $299 (16 GB) Kindle Fire HD 8.9 takes the 7-inch model’s formula and puts it into a bigger body and a very impressive display, making it all the more attractive for end users. It will be interesting to see if it can make a scratch in the space, which is currently being occupied by iPad, Nexus 10 and Microsoft Surface RT. With this low budget, solid design, top-notch media store, affordable data plan, and robust parental controls, consumers with small pocket have greater choice.

The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 has exceptionally beautiful 1920×1200 display. At 254 ppi, it is not comparable with Nexus 10 but consider to be very close to iPad and much superior than Samsung Electronic Co.’s Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. Overall the resolution is high enough for human eyes to distinguish individual pixels. The Kindle Fire HD is not as cheap as it seems to be, considering its low price. At 9.45 x 6.50 x .35 inches (HWD) and 1.29 pounds, it’s smaller and slightly lighter than the Nexus 10, the iPad, and other 10-inch tablets. Its screen is a bit smaller which could be the obvious reason of low price. At the end of the day, its unparalleled viewing experience, no matter what you want to watch.

The 8.9-inch model uses an OMAP 4470 processor, Dolby audio and dual-driver stereo speakers, it has two Wi-Fi antennas, work simultaneously, on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands which utilize MIMO (Multiple In/Multiple Out) to improve reception, increase capacity and reliability. Thus, fewer dropped connections, more than 40% faster media streaming. The Kindle Fire HD also adds Bluetooth connectivity allowing users to connect an array of wireless accessories including keyboards.

The cellular Kindle Fire HD runs on AT&T’s EDGE, 3G, and LTE networks. The device can work with standard AT&T data plans.

The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is based on a heavily modified Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). Many users encountered problems with third-party applications as users found problem with smooth navigation and also the User Interface is at various points too confusing, too simple, and too mutable.

It’s merely a larger version of the 7-incherAmazon Kindle Fire tablet. No change from design from Kindle Fire HD 7. The only camera found on the tablet is the 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera above the screen, which is enabled for video-chatting and taking some self-portrait shots.

Kindle Fire HD 8.9 has small selection of third-party application and no rear camera to taking photos and videos put it on back foot.  On the other hand it is cheap and portable. It is very convenient as it can be accessed to Amazon store which has a great service of shopping. Dolby audio. Available with access to fast 4G wireless broadband networks, for only $499 makes the deal very fruitful.
