If you thought that Windows Phone is a part of history, you were mistaken. The Redmond based tech giant that has tested immense success with hardware in the last around one year is working hard to resurrect the Windows Phone.

There is no denying the fact that a great Windows Phone looks very enticing to millions and millions of people across the world. Many people want to have a great such phone that has everything else that an Android phone has.

There is no denying the fact that notwithstanding the takeover of Nokia and rebranding of the Lumia range of Windows-based smartphones as ‘Microsoft Lumia’, the US tech giant has so far failed to ignite the market for its mobile offering. Many people have said that the handsets have remained as boring as they were under Nokia management.

Lumia 640 and 640 XLMicrosoft seems to be betting big on the Windows Phone especially after the massive success of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book. The tech giant introduced the latest version of Windows and renamed the smartphone OS as Windows 10 Mobile.

Despite the success of the tablet and laptop from the company, the recently introduced handsets Lumia 950 and 950XL seem to have failed to strike a chord with smartphone users and the dwindling Windows Phone sales are expected to witness a further slide. Even International Data Corporation (IDC) has predicted that Windows Phone would do well to hold on to its negligible, less than 3 percent marketshare.

This seems to have given hope to Microsoft that a turnaround of sorts in a possibility. Analysts believe that it is just a matter of time before the Redmond giant unveils its premium offering – Surface Phone.
