Adele’s ‘Hello’ fastest to reach 1 billion views on YouTube: Watch the video
Adele is making headlines almost daily. If yesterday it was an announcement about her going to perform at the Grammy Awards next month, there is another great news involving her.
Latest reports suggest that Adele has managed entry into a select club of artists who have joined 1 billion on Youtube. Reports suggest that ‘Hello’ has finally breached the one billion mark on YouTube.
It is being said that the popular single from the British singer’s very well-received album “25” has become the fastest ever video to reach 1 billion views on YouTube, the video platform announced Thursday.
It must be noted that ‘Hello’ took to hit the milestone — nearly twice as fast as the previous record of 158 days set by Psy’s “Gangnam Style.” Nonetheless other reports suggest that there are now 17 videos in the 1 billion club — and seven of those reached the milestone in the past year, YouTube said.
In a blogpost , Youtube, an arm of the search giant is celebrating the occasion. “Since 2014, the number of days to reach 1 billion views has dropped dramatically…In 2013, the fastest track to 1 billion was Katy Perry’s “Roar” at 487 days. In 2014, it was Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” at 238 days. In 2015, Adele managed to set the bar at 87 days.”
