Adele ’25’ album sale crosses 7 mark in United States as her tour tickets sold in record time
Adele’s US tour 2015 was sold out not in weeks or days or even hours, but within mere minutes. This was probably the fastest selling tour by any artist in the world.
People were simply bewildered as to how more than fifty concerts that are going to be held in massive stadiums housing tens of thousands of fans were sold out in such a record time.
This happened, despite the fact that the diva’s team made it sure that the people who were looking forward to buy multiple tickets to be sold later at exorbitantly high prices were not allowed to have their way.
While her team might have succeeded in curbing the practice to a certain extent, but many such people were certainly able to lay their hands on many tickets and so a large number of tickets are being sold online on different websites. Prices of such tickets range from $500 to $9500 depending on the seat on offer.
In the meantime Adele’s latest album 25 continues to destroy all album sales records in United States. Reports suggest that album 25 sale have gone above 7 million purchases in its fifth week of being available to the public in the US. A latest report in the Billboard says that the commercial success has now seen three weeks of over 1 million sales here in US alone.
There is no denying the fact that the spurt in the sale is being attributed to the holiday season. A report in the Billboard says that not only Adele 25 album is continuing to hold its throne as the No. 1 selling album throughout the United States, but according to Official Charts, the album was the most-sold album during Christmas week in the U.K. as well. The announcement of her 2016 North America tour seems to have also played a role in it.
