The Taiwanese tech giant has finally spoken that it is launching the update. Responding to some questions on Twitter, HTC America’s head Jason Mackenzie has reportedly revealed that the firmware update for the One is around the corner. At the same time, giving further evidence for the claim, a screenshot of the One is leaked to web with Android 4.3 running on it. It looks the picture is taken at the just concluded IFA 2013. As per Mackenzie, Android 4.3 development for the One is going on right schedule and it could be expected by the end of September. Well, the update would arrive to the devices both in the U.S. and EU markets. In the meantime, the picture leaked shows up a blue HTC One that features the Android 4.3, which is only running in Nexus devices now.
Other smartphone manufacturers including top of the line manufacturers like Samsung and Sony are also set to release firmware update to their latest and top-shelf phones also, reports said. The Korean tech giant is expected to bring the update to its 1H flagship in October, 2013, while Sony plans to update its Xperia Z soon after. To refresh your memory, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is the latest update to the Google mobile OS. It first appeared in Google’s new edition Nexus 7 2. Though a slighter update, the Android 4.3 brings a lot of new features and improvements to the OS just before the projected bigger update late this year or early next year.
