The Cupertino based tech giant is making progress, so others are making too. Apple A7 chipset rumors suggest major improvement. Apple A7 Vs Snapdragon 800 Vs Tegra 4i comparisons are very natural
A tough battle is going on in mobile chipsets in world technology market. All key chipmakers have recently produced dazzlingly-performing chipsets for the new gen smartphones and tablets. Well, Qualcomm has its Snapdragon 800 chip and Nvidia has surfaced its next edition Tegra 4i chipsets that are envisaged for both tablets and smartphones. What about a new chip from Apple?
Well, it is the right time to expect the next gen ‘A’ series chip from the Cupertino tech maker. As per rumors, Apple is working on a new A7 chipset for its new line of rumored products like iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 and iPhone 5S. As per a tweet from a Fox News reporter, Apple is about to realize the brand new chipset, which will be promising rather better power than its predecessor.
Regarding performance, as per Clayton Morris of Fox news, the new A7 chip will be “running at about 31% faster than A6. I’m hearing it’s very fast.” Meanwhile, 9to5Mac, a famous Apple gossip blog, adds further flavor to the rumor stating that the new chip from Apple will be a 64-bit one.
The 64-bit speculation about the A7 chipset turned up for the first time from KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo sometime back. It might be awesome if Apple would design its new chipset under 64-bit standard, because all its major chip rivals are 32-bit only.
Normally, 64-bit chips can support more power and memory. As per 9to5Mac, a 64-bit Apple chipset can easily handle large scale “animations, transparencies, and other iOS 7 graphical effects,” and so it can be great rival to the Snapdragon 800 as well as Tegra 4i in many respects.
All projected Apple handsets including iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 and iPhone 5S are anticipated to get a new chipset this time. Maybe, the rumored budget Apple smartphone, the iPhone 5C may mount the existing A6 chip or its powerful model the A6X or anything else.
