You will not have to wait for it much longer. LG G2 U.S. release date has been confirmed. It is arriving on Verizon on Sept 12, AT&T on Sept. 13
LG’s G2 Android flagship phone officially appeared in market a few weeks back. LG announced everything about the device except its release date then. Now, LG is reportedly about to start selling its much-touted LG G2 handset in the U.S. on Sept. 12 on Verizon and Sept. 13 on AT&T.
Android Central, a reliable source of news from the Android world, has broken up the news about the G2’s release date in the U.S. The decision to unveil the G2 in the second week of Sept. will really be a head start on Apple, HTC and Samsung, which reportedly aim to release their next edition premium handsets like iPhone 5S, One Max and Galaxy Note 3 respectively in the same timeframe.
It is amazing that LG is taking only a month to bring a new device to the U.S. market. Surely, compared to LG’s habit during last year, it is a faster turnaround and it will help the company gain further grip in the U.S. mobile market.
As we know, AT&T is to start accepting pre-orders for the device on Sept. 3. The carrier offers a free folio case for the LG G2’s early consumers. Meanwhile, the pre-order page for Verizon LG G2 is already up on the carrier’s website. The carrier promises to bring a model of the phone with exclusive wireless charging capabilities.
Even though, the carriers haven’t exposed their possible price tags for the LG G2. Of course, its SIM free version will be priced something above $600, while you can buy it for around $200 on data contract. Also there is no information available about the device’s debut on Sprint and T-Mobile in the U.S. It is already available for purchase in South Korea, however.
