It is going to be one of the best handset in the market. LG Optimus G2 release date and specs rumors have gone viral and its August launch is likely
LG Optimus G2 has been leaked to the media. Some benchmarks have shown that the handset is in the final stages of its launch and that the next generation flagship handset from Korean tech giant LG are set to appear in the shelves pretty soon. From leaks it is clear that Optimus G2 will beat all its market rivals with its arrival in the next few weeks. Though LG hasn’t clearly said as to when it is going to launch the Optimus G2 in the market there are reasons to believe that the company is preparing to introduce the handset in the market as early as August 7 during its much publicized event in New York City.
The leaks suggest that the new flagship handset from LG will be ages ahead of other handsets available in the market including Apple’s iPhone 5, Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and Taiwanese tech giant HTC’s One handsets. These are the top selling handsets in the market right now and LG is coming with far better innards than the trio.
In the meantime reports suggest that the new round of speculations were ignited when the Korean tech giant sent the invites for the event. It was merely a day after it announced that it will be deploying Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor in Optimus G successor. In its announcement Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said: “With a powerful combination of LG’s core smartphone technologies and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, we are taking a significant step forward in the mobile experience. The result of this collaboration will in many ways be the industry’s best smartphone by which all other devices will be measured.
The new handset from LG will come with far better firepower than its previous versions. The release also mentioned that the Snapdragon 800 processor will deliver 75 percent better performance than the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor that powers the LG Optimus G. the other features of the Snapdragon 800 processor included higher CPU speeds with quad-core Krait 400 CPUs, 4G LTE Advanced Carrier Aggregation, a new Adreno 330 GPU claiming to deliver more than two times better performance for applications over the current Adreno 320 GPU, and video capture, playback and display in Ultra HD format, claimed to have four times higher density than 1080p HD. The tech experts believed that the LG Optimus G2, a successor to the LG Optimus smartphone, will come with a 5.5-inch full-HD display. This smartphone is also likely to pack in an Adreno 330 GPU with 2GB of RAM. LG Optimus G2 will come with a 13-megapixel snapper and run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and will be layered with LG’s own Optimus UI. The recent spate of rumours have also suggested that the handset will have buttons on the back, as it would be so thin it wouldn’t be able to fit buttons on the top and side.
