The tri-series in West Indies is on and West Indies are playing their second match of the series against India. In the first match they came up with exceptional performance against another South Asian team, Sri Lanka and did well both bat and ball. The best thing for the team was the fact that Gayle was in his trademark style and great form. When Gayle is performing, it is very hard to his opponents to win the match. He is a man who can make any score look peanuts and Indians have witnessed it in their International premier League in the last season when he came up with several explosive knocks.
Though the Indian team is in great form too and they are fresh from a great tournament in Champions Trophy 2013 played in England. This was a series that saw the Indian side in an impeccable form and never even in a single match the Indian captain Mahendra Dhoni needed to change the composition of his side. He played with the same 11 players in all the matches throughout the tournament and won in every match. It was the only team that never lost a single match during the whole tournament.
But today, the match didn’t begin on a very encouraging note as India lost their first wicket very early in the form of Shikhar Dhawan who lost his wicket for merely 11 runs when the Indain score was just about 25 runs. Though the man who replaced him, Virat Kohli, began his inning with a huge six, but was not able to do much and was sent back by Sammy. He too lost his wicket on the 11 runs. Dhawan too was taken when he had scored just 11 runs.
Right now Rohit Sharma and Dinesh kartik are at the crease. While Sharma has scored 20 runs, Karthik has just opened his account. He is playing at 1 and Indian score after 12 overs is 47 runs for the loss of two wickets.
