Sony has just unveiled its flagship Android tablet the Xperia Tablet Z. The new product is to take on a line of large-screen tablet PCs. It will fight against Google Nexus 10, Apple iPad and Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 10.1. It will be interesting to compare the Tablet Z with Note 10.1. Hardware: Both the tablets have the same 10.1-inch displays. The Sony tablet comes with a 10.1-inch LED-backlit LCD display that packs a screen resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels at 224-ppi. Sony has made use of its Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 for the device. The Samsung tablet has arrived in with a PLS TFT display that features a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels at 149-ppi. Sony has placed a better 8MP autofocus rear camera on its tablet. It is rich with features like touch focus, geo-tagging and 1080p video shooting capability. The device has a 2.2MP 1080p front facing camera as well. It is when the Samsung tablet touts moderate cameras. The device mounts a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, geo-tagging and 720p video recording. It has a 1.9MP front camera for video chatting.
Software: The new tablet is slated to roll out with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is one of the latest versions of the mobile OS from Google. It is to get Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update sooner.
