Idea Cellular has launched its Ivory, a dual SIM 3G smartphone with good specs and features. Idea Ivory price begins at Rs 7390

Idea seems to be on an upswing. The company seems to be trying to give good options for entry level Android handsets to the cost and quality conscious Indian smart-phone fans. For average Indian customers going for anything beyond Rs 20000 is unimaginable as their pockets don’t allow it. For many others even anything beyond Rs 10000 is a big No, no. so they want good quality handsets with low price.

The price conscious Indian buyers cannot dream to go for iPhone as the latest iteration of iPhone starts from Rs 45000 in the country and a Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note 2 come with price beginning Rs 35000 or higher. The high price of the iPhone and Galaxy Note 2 haven’t got many takers in India despite the fact that almost every other person wants to own one. Even Nokia Lumia 920, the latest Nokia Windows Phone 8 handset that was introduced in the country this past week will come for astronomical price. Its entry level iteration will cost Rs 38000, a very high price by any yardstick.

So Idea Cellular’s dual SIM 3G smartphone is going to get many takers as it seems very economical. Priced at Rs 7,390 this will come with obsolete but useful specs. The Idea Ivory, a dual SIM, 3G handset comes powered by a 1GHz processor.

The handset comes with a 3.5 touchscreen, 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory. The company claims that the battery is a big plus point for the handset as it will give very good battery backup to the handset. Besides it comes packed with Android Browser, G Sensor, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and other features including Android GMS standard application, Facebook, Twitter, IMAP, HTML and Music Video Player.
