Here we make a run through the prominent products expected for release at CES 2013. Not many companies have revealed the products to be put on display at the show. But, as per rumors swirling around, we have prepared this list of products that we can expect in the show.
Sony Xperia Yuga: Sony’s rumored rival against the Galaxy S and iPhone series, the Xperia Yuga (Xperia Z) is set for display at CES 2013. It is likely to come with a 5-inch 1080×1920 FullHD display that makes use of Sony’s advanced Mobile BRAVIA engine technology. It will be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, 2GB RAM and an advanced 12MP Exmor RS rear camera.
Huawei Ascend D2: It is going to be Huawei’s member to the new row of FHD handsets. It is an upgrade to the firm’s early 2012 Ascend D flagship Android phone. The Ascend D2 is likely to roll out with a 5-inch 1920x 1080 display, quad core processor and 2GB of RAM. The processor will be carrying Huawei’s own K3V2 chipset.
Huawei Ascend W1: It will be the first Windows Phone 8 device from the Chinese tech firm. With its release, Huawei will be the fourth tech maker to push out a Windows Phone 8-based phone after Nokia, HTC & Samsung. It will be an entry-level phone as far as its specs are concerned. Ascend W1 will be mounting a 3-inch screen, dual-core 1.2GHz CPU and 512MB RAM as major highlights.
Super AMOLED 1080p Screen: It is a time tech firms are competing with quality 1080 FHD handsets. Samsung is also to join the party with a FHD based Nexus IV early this year. For this, the company is expected to show up its 4.99-inch FullHD Super AMOLED display at CES 2013. It will be the first non-LCD display with FullHD resolution.
Asus ME172V: The Google Nexus 7 maker is reportedly working to unveil an own 7-inch low-price Android slate at CES 2013. The tablet is largely hoped to keep almost the same specs of Nexus 7 including a 7-inch display. It will be priced far lower, however. Its pricing may start at something around $129.
4k TVs: We have already seen a few massive displays with 4k resolution. At CES 2013, there will be a set of TVs from various tech makers with 4k resolution up from 1080p resolution. Huge cost and lack of content will be the curse of such TVs in the initial stage, though.
Galaxy Skin: A rumor is getting stronger that the next Galaxy S phone will have a bendable display. Anyway, it is also said that Samsung may reveal its bendable display technology at CES 2013. Called the Galaxy Skin, the display will bend and the phones made with the screens will be bendable.
Nvidia Tegra 4: It is almost certain that Nvidia will roll out its next gen system-on-chip the Tegra 4 at the trade show. The present handsets and tablets sport Tegra 3 chips. The new Tegra 4 chips can give further power for the devices with the support for more cores.
LG FHD Handset: Following HTC, Sharp and Oppo, LG is also to surface a 5-inch FHD phone. The still-to-be-named LG phablet is also to keep up the same specs including a 5-inch display, quad core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 2GB of RAM and more. It may also be on display at CES 2013.
