After a really very tough match against Australia yesterday Sri Lankans are not celebrating their success as yet. Now the islanders are set to take on their huge northern neighbors, India, who have been playing exceptionally well during the ongoing Champions Trophy. They have won all their matches handsomely and the best thing going in their favor is their great bowling and fielding show, two areas where they always looked lacking in quality. Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has claimed that his side is actually the best fielding side in this tournament and that his fielders are actually saving lots of runs.

There is no denying the fact that the Indian side is great in all fields. They have been able to beat their opponents rather very easily throughout the tournament. Their batting is top class as they have always been with Shikhar Dhawan, Kohlia, Dhoni, Raina and others and their bowling also seems to be in safe hands right now.

But the Lankan team are going to take inspiration from their performance yesterday against Australians when they continued to be positive despite facing a daunting task towards the end of the game. Their batsmen and bowlers did rather well yesterday and formed Australia to concede the match.

Jayawardene who has done tremendously well throughout this tournament says that his team’s chances of reaching the finals are bright. He doenst seem to be concerned with their easy defeat at the hands of Indian team. “Warm-up games or whatever, it doesn’t count right now. It’s a big tournament. It’s the semifinal, so looking forward to that”, says the flamboyant Lankan batsmen. To be true, in Jayawardene Lankans have a trusted batsman who never really disappoints them. Despite huge odds, he was able to score briskly under severe pressure and score as many as 84 runs n the match. Without him, the Lankan side wouldn’t have won the match yesterday.
