HTC One SV is a new midrange phone from the Taiwanese tech maker. It was announced in November 2012 and is slated for December launch. It will be a tough rival to the whole line of midrange phones in market. At the same time, we are about get the new Lumia 620, a low-price addition to the new Lumia series of phones for Windows Phone 8. Software: This is the major difference between the handsets. The Lumia 620 is to run on Windows Phone 8. Once realized, it will be the cheapest phone that runs on Windows Phone 8. Processor, Power: The HTC phone is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm S4 processor. It is boosted by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The lower-end Lumia phone is also powered by the same chip, but it has only a dual core 1 GHz Krait processor. 512MB RAM and Adreno 305 graphical processor add to the muscle of the handset.
Camera: Both the handsets sport 5MP rear cameras with LED flash and other advanced features. The SV’s camera is designed to capture video at 1080p, while the Lumia 620’s camera can only shoot video at 720p. Going by front camera, the HTC phone has a 1.6MP snapper, while the 620 has only a VGA camera for video chatting.
Connectivity: The budget HTC phone is up with all essential connectivity options. Well, it has GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, HSUPA and 4G LTE for data via network connectivity providers. Other options include Wi-Fi, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and a microUSB port and more. The Lumia 620 drops features like LTE, DLNA and NFC. Also, it has only Bluetooth 3.0, while its competitor has the most advanced version.
Size and Weight: Indeed, the HTC Android handset is slimmer and lighter when compared to its Nokia rival. The device has the dimensions of 128 x 66.9 x 9.2 mm and weight of 122 grams. It is when the 620 measures in at 115.4 x 61.1 x 11mm and weighs at 127 grams.
Price & Availability: Both the devices are recently announced. They are set to come to market in December 2012. As per reports, Nokia has begun to offer the device in some markets for a price of $300 SIM free. Indeed, such a low price will also be the selling point of the One VS.

The One SV is a better device in display size, weight, slimness and many other factors. It does also have a better processor and good RAM among other things. So, it will be a tough run for Nokia to win market for its new Lumia 620. But, it depends on a customer’s choice of the software. The 620 and One SV respectively run Windows Phone 8 and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. So they are suitable devices for customers who love particular operating systems.
