Ontario, Canada based Research in Motion is excited about its forthcoming handsets. Here we bring to you BlackBerry 10 features, photos, price and release date
More and more reports are appearing about the new features of the forthcoming BlackBerry 10 handsets set to be introduced in the market within the next two, three months. The way BlackBerry 10 OS is getting rousing response from reviewers, it is expected to do wonders for the Ontario, Canada based Research in Motion. But things will be clear only when RIM actually introduces its OS at the end of the next month and then introduces its full touch screen and QWERTY keyboard handsets.
Research in Motion is struggling hard to bring itself back in the smart-phone competition and stop the slide that has taken it from a top smart-phone manufacturer to one who was losing its market share faster than anything else.
While RIM is struggling hard to remain in the race, Apple and Samsung are doing everything to limit the competition in the smart-phone market between them. Both the companies have top selling handsets in their inventories and Apple’s iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and Samsung’s numerous handsets including Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 and others make for around 65 percent of smart-phone market. This has made life very difficult for other smart-phone manufacturers including RIM and Nokia. But with new BlackBerry 10 OS, RIM is all set to bounce back.
The day is approaching fast when Research in Motion will showcase to the world its next generation OS. Research In Motion’s new mobile firmware update BlackBerry 10 release date is coming near. The mobile vendor is to formally uncover BB 10 on 30th January 2013 with an aim to come back to the mobile market. The firm has been struggling for a while with huge setbacks in product innovation and sales. Well, RIM is now all set to bring out its next major firmware update with a dream to put it in rivalry to Google Android and Apple iOS. BlackBerry 10 is to show off many amazing features and capabilities. So as to make it strongly fight with Android, iOS and Windows Phone, RIM has developed the firmware with lots of cutting edge features. Grapevine is creating huge hypeup over the release of BB 10. Now they have leaked some important information about BlackBerry 10’s release and its chance for winning in market. Let us have a look into some fresh BB 10 updates.
There are many rumors floating around about the BBM and new features that will come with it. A CrackBerry report claims that BlackBerry 10 will feature BBM Video. A leaked slide has exposed that this much-admired feature heads for BB 10. The video calling feature is expected to offer facilities like face to face video calls and screen sharing. It has been one of the much wanted traits for BlackBerry 10. “BBM Voice is already a hit, so adding BBM Video plus the ability to share your screen is a sure success. BBM is one of the 10 features we’re most excited for in BlackBerry 10,” says CrackBerry.
Though handsets will come a few weeks after the OS’ launch, It is rumored that the first handset with BlackBerry 10 will have an iconic RIM keyboard. The device is expected to hail from BB’s N-Series of phones and it may also get a full touchscreen version, reports say. There is no clue about the specs, features and other details about the device. Leaked images of the device just show it as having a QWERTY keypad. Maybe, RIM will be trying to attract traditional customers with a classic handset. Well, lack of affordable versions of its BlackBerry phones will be a huge setback for RIM. All major tech makers apart from Apple have cheap versions of their products. Samsung has launched low-price versions for almost all its flagship phones. Recently, Galaxy Note II phablet got Galaxy Grand and Galaxy S3 received a Galaxy S III Mini low-price models.
Several leading tech blogs and mainstream media have one thing or other to say about BB10. As per BGR, some markets like Africa must have too many budget phones from RIM. Otherwise, the firm won’t be able to gain momentum unless it has many affordable handsets for budget conscious markets. “RIM must strike hard in the low-end market to regain its African momentum,” says BGR. “By Easter, Android and iPhone camps will have pulled ahead of RIM in new subscriber additions at Vodacom,” the site adds referring to the sales prospects for the South African carrier. As per a couple of screenshots from @BlackberryScoop, BlackBerry 10 is to integrate Netflix video streaming service. It will help users easily get into their favorite videos, movies and TV shows on BB 10-based handsets. “Word has it that RIM is trying to get Netflix onto Blackberry 10 and @BlackberryScoop is said to be helping to test the beta,” UberGizmo says.
The date is very near and the excited fans are all ears about new BB 10 OS and handsets. As we can learn from reports, RIM is to officially uncover BlackBerry 10 on January 30, 2013. The company is much hopeful about its new firmware. RIM CEO Thorsten Heins recently said that their team has been working on to develop a completely new platform for mobile phones. As a result, RIM is to “bring our customers innovative features combined with a best-in-class browser, a rich application ecosystem, and cutting-edge multimedia capabilities. All of this will be integrated into a user experience – the BlackBerry Flow – that is unlike any smartphone on the market today,” RIM CEO says.
