BlackBerry 10 vs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean: Can RIM make comeback (Video)
Ontario, Canada based Research in Motion (RIM) is trying to make a comeback through its forthcoming BlackBerry 10 OS (Video). But can it compete with well developed Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or iOS 6 besides of course the newly launched Windows Phone 8
Amid the excitement of Windows Phone 10 launch, iOS 6 hype following the iPhone 5 and iPad 4 launch and the continued improvement of Android, everyone seemed to have forgotten BlackBerry, the Ontario, Canada based Research in Motion (RIM).
A few years ago, BlackBerry was undisputed market leader, but ever since it started facing attack from Apple, Cupertino based manufacturer of iPhone it has failed to find its feet on the ground. It has been simply uprooted and there doesn’t seem to be any hope that it can make a comeback. Though the company hasn’t abandoned its hopes, and it is still working hard to get some winning formula to make a turnaround.
It has made tall announcements regarding the planned launch of a new operating system for its smartphone named BlackBerry 10 and two new handsets that it is planning to introduce in the market with BlackBerry 10 OS. But there is not much hope left for the company as while others including Android and Windows Phone 8 and of course Apple make strides in the market in terms of improved OS and great handsets, BlackBerry has just been making promises.
But recently Research in Motion gave a sneak-peak into what is going to come with its new BlackBerry 10 and new handsets from the company. A latest report says that RIM’s Regional Senior Product Manager Claudio Roselli gave more than just hints about what was in store. Reports suggest that Claudio Roselli showed off many of the new features of the OS in pipeline on camera. A report while talking about these new features of BB says, “Among the most interesting features demoed in the clip, there’s the predictive keyboard we’ve already heard so much about, but also an “adaptive” lockscreen, the BB Hub and a screen dedicated to “efficient multitasking”. You’ll also get a tour of the BlackBerry App World, but unfortunately you’ll need to know a bit of Spanish to understand more than just what transpires directly via the images”.
The best thing is that someone put the clip on internet. Though it was pulled down by RIM, but it was reposted on the internet once again. Once something gets posted on the internet, it is really very tough for anyone to hide it again. One thing that is getting praise from everyone is its ease of use and multitasking capabilities.
