After a very long wait Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update has finally been released by Sprint in in USA. This will improve the functioning of the smart-phone by several notches
There is some good news for those people awaiting Samsung Galaxy S3 Android Jelly Bean update. Sprint seems to have become the first cellular company in the US to have rolled out the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean for Galaxy S3. So after a long and rather frustrating wait, there is some good news for people who have been impatiently awaiting the release of Jelly Bean.
Samsung and Google both have been terribly slow in released Jelly Bean. When Samsung Galaxy S III was introduced in the market some five, six months ago, the Korean technology conglomerate had said that it will launch Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean within weeks. But weeks stretched into months and there was no trace of latest Android firmware.
Other smart phone users using top smart-phones from other top companies have also not been very fortunate either. If Galaxy S3 buyers in much of the world are not able to get Jelly Bean, other top smart-phone users like HTC One X and Motorola Droid RAZR users too haven’t been able to get the latest update from Goole.
But finally the good news is that Sprint has made a beginning. “Today, Sprint became the first U.S. wireless carrier to offer the AndroidTM 4.1.1, Jelly Bean, update to its Samsung Galaxy S® III customers. The update began rolling out today and adds a host of new and enhanced TouchWiz® features, offering a faster, richer and more responsive device experience”, said a company press release.
To be true, it is the best time for Samsung to start Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S3. The new version of Android hit stores with Google’s Nexus 7 tablet. Apart from the device, no new handset or tablet has yet come on the platform. Samsung’s Note 2 and many other devices were announced to feature the firmware. Therefore, it becomes the best time for the premium Android handset to go with the firmware update.
South Korean tech giant Samsung’s Galaxy S series phones have been considered as the best Android phones of their time. The new member to the lineup often represents the Google software and takes on iPhone, Android’s chief rival. Galaxy S3 is the current topper of the market. It has a clear edge over all Android phones including HTC One X and others. With the new iPhone 5 has just hit stores, the South Korean firm must take steps to update S3 so as to make it competitive to the new Apple phone.
By the way Android 4.1 update will come with lots of enhancements and fresh features to the handset. Jelly Bean is certainly one of the best Android updates ever. It has many spectacular things to offer for you. Google Now for voice based web search, resizable widgets, Project Butter for CPU performance boosting, Android Beam for NFC data transfer, increased accessibility, bi-directional text and other language support and user-installable keyboard maps will be a few of the updates.
