Both come from great companies and both are being loved by their respective users. Here we compare two top smart-phones Galaxy S3 and HTC One X
Both have been there for months and both have got hundreds of thousands of people falling for them. While Galaxy S3 is still the hottest selling smart phone despite the fact that it was launched in May and despite naysayers’ claims that it will flop when iPhone 5 will be out, it is still going strong and demand is still going up.
Amazingly iPhone 5’s launch, instead of adversely affecting the demand for Samsung’s Galaxy S3 has pushed it upward. This may look very strange, nonetheless it is true. And so far Galaxy S 3 has sold several million handsets across the world.
But being an Android handset, Galaxy S3 has to compete more against Android handsets as Apple fanboys don’t really opt for Android handsets, though trend is changing and many are opting for one due to better specs and bigger size of Android smartphones that come for far cheaper prices. And HTC’s One X is among the best smart-phones ever launched in the market.
To be true, when it comes to the build quality of the two smart-phones HTC One X has been more appreciated than Galaxy S3 and there are many people who have said that they have found the HTC One X to be better than Galaxy S3. But overall Galaxy S3 has got many times better response than HTC One X. To be true, the best HTC smart-phone HTC One X seemingly came out from nowhere with little hype and excitement. Make no mistake though, because HTC still delivers it HARD. And the end product of HTC is as good if not better than, Galaxy S3.
Both, Galaxy S3 and HTC One X are among the best phones when it comes to their looks. Till just a year ago, no one had thought that smart-phones would get so beautiful and so much useful in a matter of a year. Taiwanese technology giant HTC’s One X comes with a polycarbonate unibody that just oozes sleekness, while the Galaxy S3’s curvaceous body is quite the departure from the Galaxy S2’s boxy days. Both the smart-phones come with huge bodies and very large displays. Both the smart-phones come with display that look almost as big as a phablet. Galaxy S3 comes with a huge 4.8 inch display, while HTC One X comes with 4.7 inch display.
Both are power packed. HTC One X is equipped with a 1.5 GHz quad Nvidia Tegra 3 core processor with 4 high-performance CPU cores and 1GB of RAM. The One X, which also runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, features the company’s much-touted HTC Sense 4.0 interface for nice navigation. For the graphical power, the device mounts GeForce GPU. On the other hand Samsung Galaxy S3 sports a 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos 4 Quad processor with an Mali-400 GPU. These are both some powerful beasts of processors that will have no problem reigning over most benchmark tests.
When it comes to storage, HTC One X comes with two storage options of 16 and 32 GB. Unfortunately the HTC handset doesn’t sport a microSD slot for further memory expansion. 32GB is the available memory for the owners of the HTC handset, but HTC is offering 25 GB of free cloud storage being provided by HTC-DropBox. Galaxy S3 also comes with 16 and 32 GB options. But another aspect that we love about the Galaxy S3 is, that, unlike the One X, it comes with a microSD card slot. The SD support potentially allows you to carry 128GB amount of music, movies, pictures, and other docs in your Galaxy S3 phone.
Both the smartphones come with very impressive cameras. Korean technology giant Samsung’s Galaxy S3 boasts an 8MP rear shooter with autofocus, flash, and Zero Lag Shutter BSI image sensor, that allows you to take 3.3 pictures in one second. Equally impressive is the HTC One X’s 8MP rear camera with the ImageSense chip. So far, HTC One X’s camera has been praised a lot compared to Galaxy S3’s, but both are among the best in the market. Another great aspect of Galaxy S3 is the fact that Samsung has given the option of removable battery that makes it all the more enticing for users.
