Israel, US to begin air defence drill

Jerusalem, (IANS) The US and Israel plan to hold their largest joint air defence exercise.

Over 1,000 US troops will participate in the exercise dubbed “Austere Challenge 12″ alongside their Israeli counterparts in the next few weeks, Xinhua reported Wednesday.

According to Israeli media, the drill will commence next week and last up to three weeks. It is expected to test the combined air-defence abilities to protect Israel.
