Experts suggest that Apple iPhone 5 features will make it biggest smartphone release ever. Rumours associated with the next generation smartphone from Apple, the iPhone 5, have resulted in an exponential surge in queries across search engines. The volume of traffic suggests that the next iPhone could be the most anticipated Apple product till date.

There are leaked images of the front-panel of the iPhone 5 and even rumours suggesting the size and capacity of the battery. The rumoured images are a close call and given the track record of the previous leaks, they could be closest to the upcoming smartphone from Apple. Traffic volumes with the search queries could more than double the next week up to the unveiling in mid-September.

Apart from the search engines and websites dedicated solely towards the iPhone 5, Walmart has also received search queries for the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini for the past few weeks. The retail giant is not leaving any stone unturned to capitalise on the popularity of the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini, which is reflected from the elevated share of paid traffic to its website.

Apple riding high on the next-generation iPhone
Whether Apple plans to call their next smartphone the iPhone 5 or something else is up to them, but the interest it has generated is unprecedented. The iPhone 5 could well be the biggest selling product of all times and not just for the company alone. Experts believe that the company could sell as many as 250 million units of the product to tune in an income of not less than $47 billion.

Apple will also capitalise on the hype of the iPhone and will try to steer across the iPad mini as well. The new product should pose a good threat to the Amazon Kindle Fire and some upgraded products from Samsung that will bring in a price-war.

Not that Apple needs to press on the iPad mini, but this just might be the right time to push against its Android-powered competitors!

Rumoured specs of the iPhone 5
The iPhone 5 will sport a slimmer body than the iPhone 4S, but with a taller screen measuring about .5-inches more diagonally. The pixel-density should remain the same and that is likely to create some extra chores for developers. Whatever Apple does to the front-panel of the phone, we expect it to be great, but we do hope that Apple brings the aluminium back right on.

The iPhone 5 will have, in all probability, 4G LTE support and the NFC chip. There are almost hard to deny rumours about a new quad-core processor or at the very least a tweaked A5X processor. There are leaked images for the battery which suggest that the new battery will a slimmer but will pack in more power to fuel the power-hungry applications. But, with that there are speculations that the battery might still lag.

Apple stands tall
Whether it’s the rumours about the iPhone 5 or solid line-up of products the company has, Apple’s valuation soared to the zenith at $623 billion earlier this week. That’s something Apple will like to keep up and that should reflect in their future product lines.
