Google Nexus 7 shipping has finally begun. The much anticipated Asus Nexus tablet release date has finally arrived
Galaxy Nexus 7’s shipping seems to have finally begun. Within days people in the US, UK and many other markets will start receiving the small 7-inch tablet. But given the huge demand for this superlative tablet, many will have to wait for weeks, if they haven’t already pre-ordered for the tablet.
Given its extremely high specs for under $199 tablet, there is no guess game as to why the demand is so high for this tablet. Though Google officials including Eric Schmidt haven’t spoken as to how many pre-orders they have received, thus far, they have dubbed the response as mind boggling.
The demand for the tab is sky-high and a Reuters report suggests that several retailers ran out of the supply of the tablet within hours of launching pre-order drive. The retailers who ran out of supply include Gamespot, Staples and Sam. Several other retailers too said that they are unable to keep up with the demand of the small tablet.
So finally after more than a year of rumors, we are very close to getting the promised tablet. But Search giant and its manufacturing partner ASUS had kept the lid on the tablet becoming a common knowledge. To be true, several rumors about the tablet proved to be true. one of those rumors had indicated it to be powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, and to cost no more than $250. All these rumors have proved to be true.
But the surprise was higher when it came to its price. Google priced this great tablet at just $199. No one had expected Google to bring out its tab at such a dirt cheap price. Nexus 7 tablet will come preloaded with Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Reports indicate that Jelly Bean is going to be infinitely better than the Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Google tablet comes loaded with the most powerful processor in this category quad-core Tegra 3 processor. It will have 1 GB RAM and will come in two memory options of 8 and 16 GB variants.
