A recently published book written by two renowned Israeli journalists confirmed the Iranian allegations that Mossad, the intelligence agency of the Zionist state, is responsible for the killing of Iranian nuclear scientists.
According to the book Spies Against Armageddon: Inside Israel’s Secret Wars written by Yossi Melman, a leading Israeli military and intelligence journalist, and Dan Raviv, a CBS national political correspondent, Mossad, in a bid to sabotage Tehran’s nuclear goal, has assassinated five Iranian nuclear scientists in the last five years.
They wrote that all the five Iranian nuclear scientists were assassinated by operatives, most likely of Persian Jewish heritage, employed by Mossad.
Spies Against Armageddon has thus provided enough ammunition to Iran to launch its propaganda that Israel was behind such terror attacks. Israel has reportedly been using magnet bombs to get rid of the scientists.
Till date, Israel has neither confirmed nor denied that it is responsible for the assassinations of Iranian scientists.
It is a common knowledge that pre-1979 Islamic Revolution Iran had a very good relationship with Israel. The then Shah of Iran’s secret agency, Savak, and Mossad were very close and they have long history of tie-up. Both were instrumental in getting rid of many revolutionaries during the heydays of revolution and even after. So Mossad is well-versed in the internal affairs of Iran and can still hit targets within the country.
It is not clear as to why the Israeli journalists have made such sensational disclosure. Some in the Muslim world still suspect that the book has been written with the purpose to tell Iran loud and clear about Israel’s potential to hit Iran well inside its own territory.
Anyway the world has at last come to know about a different kind of warfare in which Israelis are indulging in. Mossad has used such bombs to eliminate many other enemies in other parts to the world too.
Israel is well aware of the emerging scientific power of Iran. It knows that it is virtually impossible to carry out air raid on nuclear plant as it did against Iraq three decades back. So the best way is to quietly liquidate the brain behind the force which is making Iran a powerful nation, that is, scientists.
But the killing of five scientists have not dampened the Iranian spirit in achieving its nuclear goal. Iran has always maintained that its nuclear research is for peaceful purposes and not to make bomb.
