Galaxy Note 2 rumors seem to be everywhere. but so far no official release date has been announced for the phablet
Rumors over Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy Note ‘phablet’ have gained more ground. Fresh rumors on various tech sites have revealed the chance for the device’s official demo late August. The Korean tech maker will organise an ‘Unpack’ event at the IFA 2012 trade show in Berlin on 30th August to unveil the gadget, rumors DDaily. There have been great expectations about the handset for a while. As per some analysts, Samsung is working to roll out an advanced edition of the Note.
Galaxy Note II: Expected features
Larger display: The original version of Note has a 5.3-inch display. It makes the device a phone with the world’s largest display screen. Even among the new ‘phablet’ category of phones, the Note is exceptional with its large display. Remember, phablets from Lenovo and LG have 5-inch displays. But, if rumors can be taken into account, the Note II will advance with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display. It is apparently with a goal to turn the Note as a handset for better access to data content.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean: Indeed, the recently released Android 4.1 version, codenamed Jelly Bean will be the key attraction of the Note II. Jelly Bean is set to first appear on Google’s own 7-inch tablet, the Nexus 7 late this month. That is, new Android devices after the Jelly Bean’s release will come preloaded with the firmware. The Note II, as it is slated for late August release, will most likely come out with the software update. Jelly Bean adds many new features to the Android platform, which include Project Butter for performance increase, Google Now for voice recognition, Android Beam for NFC-based data sharing and more.
Quad core Exynos CPU: The new edition of Note will surely hit stores with a quad core processor. Most likely, the device will be equipped with the Samsung’s new Exynos 4412 processor, which is inside the new Galaxy S III. All recent handsets are powered by quad core chips. That is why we can hope that the Note II will also get the powerful processing unit and graphical processor.
12-megapixel rear camera: Grapevines believed that the new Galaxy S III would have a 12-megapixel rear camera. The new version of Galaxy S series was largely hoped to sport a camera with a large sensor. But, Samsung integrated only an 8-megapixel camera on the device similar to its predecessor the S II. The new version of Note is now anticipated to break the mark with a 12-megapixel camera on its rear panel. Indeed, it might be a big change on Samsung’s Android handsets. However, the Note II will fail in front of Nokia’s 808 PureView that has a mammoth 41-megapixe rear camera.
Price and release of Note III
In fact, Samsung has made no official declaration on the launch of an upgrade for its famous Note phablet. Even though, some sources report that the company has promised to organise an ‘Unpacked’ event on August 30th at 7:00 p.m., possibly to announce the device, there is no clarity. Samsung may start shipping the second gen Galaxy Note in September 2012. We also have no info about the potential price tag of the handset.
Conclusion
It might a big step on the part of Samsung to launch a second version for the Note phablet. Samsung, as per some analysts, just tested the scope for such a device with the original Note. So a decision to upgrade the device means the Note is a big success and Samsung has hope in a phablet. That is, market also looks for a 5 plus inch large smartphone even if there are lots of 7-inch tablets and eReaders.
