Key Indian handset maker Micromax keeps rolling out fresh handsets. The company has just added two members to its famous Superfone family. Last week, we witnessed the release of Superphone Ninja2 A56 and yesterday the company unveiled the Superfone A80 Infinity. Both the devices are dual SIM handsets and they run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Moreover, they are highly affordable for common users. Here we make short notes to the new handsets from Micromax.

Micromax Superphone Ninja2 A56
The Ninja2 A56 comes with a 3.5-inch WVGA multitouch display. It is an Android 2.3 handset, which is powered by an 800MHz Qualcomm CPU and 256MB of RAM. The Superphone comes with 512MB of onboard storage, which you can expand up to 32GB thanks to a built-in 32GB compatible microSD slot. Micromax further shows off features like a 1400mAh battery and 3-megapixel rear camera as major advantages of the handset.

Micromax is to sell Superphone Ninja2 A56 for just Rs. 6000. The device will soon appear in stores, the company says. It will come in Raging Red and Bright Yellow besides the default black. What is great with the handset is its integration of Micromax’s much-touted voice assistant app A.I.S.H.A or Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assistant. The feature is similar to iPhone’s Siri. Apart from this, we have Gingerbread, GSM compatibility, dual SIM, 3.5-inch HVGA screen and 3-megapixel rear camera as notable features of the phone.

Micromax Superfone Infinity A80
The Superfone A80 Infinity is the most recent member to the series. Micromax just announced the Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) handset. The biggest selling point of Infinity A80 will be its powerful 2500mAh Li-ion battery that can provide talk time up to 7 hours and standby time of up to 288 hours. This dual SIM handset is also to come preloaded with the A.I.S.H.A voice assistant app.

The new Superfone will come with feature like a 3.75-inch capacitive multitouch screen. The device will also be powered by an 800MHz processor and it will have 512MB of RAM and a 5-megapxiel rear camera. Thanks to LED flash and other additional features, you can grab better photos and videos with the handset, the company claims. Plus, it has a 0.3-megapixel front camera for making video calls. With the help of A.I.S.H.A app, you can send texts, make calls, update your social media status and even search web.

For connectivity, the Infinity shows off 3G support, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. Notable other features of the handset are accelerometer and a microSD slot for expanding storage up to 32GB using external memory sticks. The handset is to come preloaded with a set of highly useful apps such as Mstore, WhatsApp and MiBuddy. Further, being an Android handset, it supports Google Play store, where you can find and download enough apps. The dual-band phone works only on GSM 900 and 1800 MHz, however.

Micromax is to sell this version of Superfone for Rs. 8500. It will soon come to stores. But apart from a powerful battery, the device has no significant features. “Despite the impressive-sounding infinity tag, there is nothing special about the A80 apart from the powerful battery,” comments TechTree reviewer of the handset.

Conclusion
Micromax, for a while, has been leading in the domestic mobile production. Its research lab has been bringing froth nice designs. Its Superfone line of Android phones is, of course, a blessing for regular customers in India. They get more moderate and lower-end smartphones for affordable prices. However, they can enjoy the potentials of Android and other world famous services on these handsets. Yes, it is here Micromax remains unique in the domestic mobile market.
