More and more iPhone 5 rumors are coming to the fore with every passing day. Its latest features include Quad-Core Processor besides of course its 4 inch display, NFC and 12 mega pixel camera
Rumours are rife about the iPhone 5 having a quad-core processor, Apple’s A6. Typical to the company, Apple has not said a word about either the smartphone or the processor that would be powering the next generation iPhone. But when does Apple ever break the mystery behind any of its new releases?
Apple is also expected to catch up with its competitors in providing connectivity options. Like the Samsung Galaxy S III, there might be LTE and NFC connections in the fifth generation iPhone.
It seems high time Apple upgraded its peocessor in the iphone. Going by the rate apple upgrades its products in keeping them ahead of its competitors, it is very likely apple wil make sure that the next generation iphone will not be devoid of a quad core processor, especially since competitors like Samsung Galaxy S III have the same.
When apple released the A5 chip, it went on to upgrade the third generation iPad with an A5X chip. So an A6 in iphone 5 seems very likely.
Without real authentic backing, it was reporte din the Taipei-based Digitimes a week ago that competition for quad-core smartphones “will heat up in the fourth quarter of 2012 [triggered] by the rollout of the much speculated new iPhone and models built based on Qualcomm’s quad-core chips.”
The report had added that Apple “is also expected to release its next-generation iPhone built on Samsung’s Exynos 4 quad-core processor in the second half, heating up competition in the segment…”
Sometime in May it was predicted by analysts of Piper Jeffrey that the next iPhone would be closer in design to the iPad, hinting at a bigger screen. This would also take on the Android phones that are lately coming out with bigger and biger screens.
Another report that appeared in Piper research note stated, “We believe there is a 50% chance the new phone has a slightly larger, 4-plus-inch screen. We believe large screen size is one of the few areas in which Android devices have been able to compete.”
Then there is this rumour about the upgradation of the camera lens in iphone 5.
It was reporte din AppleInsider in the mid of June that Apple had filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office a patent titled, “Back Panel for a Portable Electronic Device with Different Camera Lens Options.”
It was explained in the the patent background information, “It would be desirable to provide a structure for a compact device that allows the end user to reconfigure the optical arrangement of the device while retaining the benefits of assembling the device using a preassembled digital imaging subsystem.”
Before the release of iPhone 4S there was this rumour that it would have near-field communication (NFC) technology, but it did not turn out to be true and the phone remained to be an iPhone 4, albeit with the suffix S for Siri. But this time analyst ands predictors are certain there would be fifth generation iphone out finally, and it would surely have the NFC technology.
The Siri in the next iphone would also be more advanced, and hopefully even wittier.
The LTE connectivity in the next iphone would enable more cariers to be a part of the Apple industry. Some of the additions might be hello and and T-Mobile
Then there is the ultimate but surprising approval of late Steve Jobs. It was reported that Jobs had worked very closely with the team developing iPhone 5. This would ensure that any lost magic is back in the next device.
