Google Nexus 7 tablet available on Office Depot: specs make it best

Search giant Google Nexus 7 tablet is now available on Office Depot. Meanwhile reviewers are unanimous that specs make it best tablet in 7 inch tab category

Google is working hard to launch its first tablet Nexus 7 as early as possible. Reports suggest that Office Depot is set to launch the Nexus 7 as early as July 12. The company has been taking pre-orders for this small seven inch tablet, but the news of the launch has certainly made many people very happy who were expecting the launch to come a bit late- at least by the month end.

Reports by Droid-Life suggest that Google’s seven inch Nexus tablet will be available for presell at Office Depot as early as July 12. The report indicate that 16 GB tablet is available on Office Depot for $249.99.

Google Nexus 7 seems to have won millions of admirers since the unveiling of the tablet late last month. Every reviewer has showered praise on this little tablet that comes with very powerful 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and excellent display of 7-inch 1280×800 screen. Google, while introducing the small tablet on its website says, “With over 9 hours of HD video playback, 10 hours of web browsing or 10 hours of e-reading and up to 300 hours of stand-by time, Nexus 7 is designed to go the distance. Whether you measure battery life in chapters read, levels completed, movies watched or minutes of backseat silence, you can spend less time charging and more time doing”.

In his detailed review of Nexus 7 tablet Michael J. Miller while writing in PCMag says, “…Asus-built Nexus 7 tablet has a good solid feel. The hardware specifications are quite impressive for a $199 tablet: the 7-inch 1280-by-800 screen is notably better than what you’ll see on most 7-inch tablets and pictures and websites generally look quite good”.

Given the excitement, the previous quarterly shipment estimates of around 600,000 units, with shipments for the year totaling between 2-2.5 million units seems very conservative. Google may certainly be able to sell at least 1-1.5 million tabs in the first quarter of its launch.
