Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Divorce is going to be a formality within days. It is still a secret as to why well known Hollywood actress suddenly decided to part ways with her hubby who has been praising her in all forums as late as last week. He said that he was deeply in love with her and felt extremely happy whenever she enters the room.

The news is hogging the same amount of limelight as Tiger Woods’s divorce with his Swedish wife Elin Nordegren some two years ago. But there are not many similarities between Com Cruise and Tiger Woods, and the divorce seems to be the only thing in common. But Tiger Woods ended up paying more than $100 million besides many properties to his estranged wife in divorce settlement.  A Radar Online report said that Elin Nordegren, formerly Elin Woods, reportedly got as much as $100 million following “Escalade-waitresses-porn star” debacle that happened to the top golfer in the land.

But Katie Holmes may not get that much amount despite living in California where divorce laws are said to favor women. The two have prenuptial agreement in place that was not made public by the two after their marriage, but TMZ confirms the existence on a prenuptial agreement between the two. The two are also not married for 11 years when in case of divorce the whole assets of the two are divided 50-50. But Katie is going to get at least $3 million a year whenever the divorce is complete.

But more than the money, the sticking point is their six year old daughter, Suri Cruise. Katie Holmes wants complete custody of her daughter and has filed for it. But tom Cruise and his elaborate legal team would do their best to convince the judge to decide the matter under California law where they got married in the year 2006.
