Two militants held in Assam

Guwahati, (IANS) The Indian Army has arrested two militants in Assam, official sources said Sunday.

While one of them was from the All Adivasi National Liberation Army (AANLA), the other was a member of the Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Assam (MULTA). Both arrests took place Saturday.

AANLA’s Ajit Lakhra, 29, was caught in a village in Udalguri district. MULTA cadre Mumtaz Ali was apprehended in Darrang district.
