Before iPhone 5 release 21% iOS users promise to stick to Apple

Apple iPhone 5 release date is still months away. But there are Apple fans who say they will never ditch Apple and settle for anything either Android or Windows. For them life seems to be centered around Apple and its ecosystem. They are the ones who make Apple the success it has become.

A report by Bill Shope of Goldman Sachs has said that around 21 percent Apple products users are so much fond of it that they say, they will never give up using Apple products.

If the 21 percent customers were prepared to stick to Apple products, no matter how much it cost and how better the competitors brought their products in the market, the other 71 percent seemed more rational. They said they were highly likely to stick to Apple. This means that they may opt for other products too if a drastically improved product, markedly better than Apple’s comes to the market.

Meanwhile Apple fans have clear picture of why they like Apple products and why they will stick with it. A reader says, “Apple customer loyalty is not driven by blind brand loyalty. That loyalty is earned. Apple customers like the products, the ecosystem within which the products exist, and the confidence that Apple will continue to produce products of the highest standards while focusing first on their customers, rather than on business partners. it all comes down to trust…I would never switch to another brand just because they released a competing product with better “specs.” That’s because I learned long ago that a product’s value is defined by the overall user experience rather than by a set of misleading numbers listed on the product packaging. The only thing that would make me consider switching to another brand would be an extended period of declining quality and innovation from Apple”. And Apple fans thing that the time will never come when quality of apple products start declining and when Apple stops innovating great products.

Bill Shope says that these people who promise to stick to Apple have a value of around $295 billion. Apple Insider quotes him saying, “This implies a cumulative iOS customer value of nearly $295 billion on today’s installed base, without any consideration for the content, services or peripherals streams, or for the platform’s growth potential”.

Meanwhile there is increased probability that iPhone 5 will be launched in the market in September. A report says that iPhone 5 will be the biggest launch in the history of consumer electronics products history. A report in leading tech blog BGR says, “…Given that every new iPhone model has been dubbed the “biggest product launch ever” by one entity or another over the past five years, this isn’t surprising”.  With so many Apple fans bent on to stick with Apple there is no doubt Apple will continue to mint huge amount of money with new products launch.
