Korean tech giant Samsung has launched an app, Easy Phone Sync, that lets iPhone users switch to Galaxy S3 and other Samsung phones
In order to help iPhone users easily move to Galaxy phones, Samsung has launched an Easy Phone Sync app for data transfer. The company will avail the app free for all Galaxy, PC and Mac users initially in U.K. The Easy Phone Sync app, as its name suggests, can transfer data from iTunes to Android handsets quite easily. As per Samsung, the app swiftly installs on all devices including the new Galaxy S III. The Korean firm wants to simplify the process of data transfer between iPhone and Galaxy phone with the app.
Put it simply, Easy Phone Sync app will be able to transfer media, contacts and other contents in a matter of seconds. The app will transfer data from iTunes to Android devices quite easily and quickly, Samsung notes in its press release. “Easy Phone Sync is a simple new way for people to transfer their iPhone and iTunes media – including music, videos, podcasts, pictures, contacts and text messages – to a Samsung Galaxy device including the new Galaxy S III”.
Well, there is an option that will let users manage their content through iTunes for keeping preferences in syncing. Yes, you can set preferences in transferring content from your iTunes account to Galaxy device. Samsung has developed Easy Phone Sync thanks to its exclusive licensing deal with the Media Mushroom Applications, the company says. Initially, the app will be available for free for its U.K customers and later it will be available for all global customers.
“Samsung is making Easy Phone Sync available for free for U.K customers to transfer content from their iOS device to their Samsung Galaxy device in a few simple clicks,” Samsung says. Moreover, the app will allow you to access DRM free content that you have subscribed from iTunes music. You can also continue enjoying iTunes on your computer to manage music, videos and other content and get your Android devices synced with the particular content.
According to Simon Standford of Samsung U.K, the company is much excited to get the feedback from its existing customers about the new app. Mr. Simon believes that the app will make things easier for iPhone and iPad users to switch to the company’s Android alternatives. Many iPhone users are reluctant for a change since there is not a reliable option to transfer data between. The Easy Phone Sync app will provide a better solution and they can easily think of a switch to Android gadgets from the company, he adds.
“We’re really proud to announce the launch of this new application and can’t wait to hear what our new and existing customers think of it. We know that traditionally iPhone users have been reluctant to switch to an Android device because they couldn’t use iTunes to manage their content. Easy Phone Sync means people can now enjoy their iTunes content on a Samsung Galaxy phone. What’s more is that it’s really easy for them to do, and literally takes five minutes to set up,” Simon says in the company’s official press release.
Samsung and Apple have been locking horns in smartphone market for a long time. Samsung has always been challenging the dominance of Apple in both smartphone and tablet markets with a set of incredible Android products. It is a time Samsung has just started shipping its next major Galaxy S III, which will rival Apple’s next iPhone 5 in global markets. Samsung has launched the Easy Phone Sync app in an occasion Apple is reportedly losing ground to the Android phones, especially the ones from Samsung, which, by the way, has become the world’s largest mobile vendor of both smartphones and feature phones.
