Germany vs Greece preview & predictions

They are the favorite not just to win just today’s game but tournament as well. They have remained unbeaten so far and the whole team has come up with very impressive and united face and has given exceedingly great performance so far. If everything goes as it has gone so far during the tournament, they will win the match, though it may not prove a cakewalk for them.

Greece are no pushovers and have proved it time and again that though they are still not a soccer giant, but they are certainly giant killers and an upset against such a feared team is always possible.

Germany is overwhelming favorite to win the game today, but given the past experiences when Greece came up with better than expected shows against top teams has German football strategists burn midnight oil to tame them. They are taking their giant killer tag rather too seriously.

The game is set to begin within hours at PGE Arena, Gdansk, Poland and the whole world seems to be glued to their television sets to watch this important match. If Germany win, they will automatically enter semifinals.

A leading sports newspaper in Greece says, “We’re part of the G8 of European football…Kick the Germans out of the Euro”. Another Greek newspaper has this to say, “After Greece beat Russia, we Greeks were the first to blow this all up with headlines like ‘Bring on Merkel…But then the Germans over-reacted and attacked some of the Greek players personally. Captain Giorgos Karagounis was even ridiculed as an actor.” So now get prepared to watch the match that is being awaited with bated breath.
