UFC 146 results reviewed: Junior dos Santos vs Frank Mir video highlights

UFC 146 results are being reviewed by fans and critics. Meanwhile Junior dos Santos vs Frank Mir was a great fight. Here are video highlights

Junior dos Santos is making headlines across the world. He seems to be the man of the moment after humbling Frank Mir rather easily. He seems to have catapulted himself to the big league of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

If there was a big fight in the UFC 146, it was between Frank Mir versus Dos Santos. Other fights never really got the same sort of exposure when compared to this one. Even the Cain Velasquez’s win over ‘bigfoot’ Silva didn’t get the same sort of reception as the one between Santos and Frank Mir. Though I must admit that Cain Velasquez’s win over Bigfoot was more dominating than Dos Santos against Mir, but still Santos is in a different league.

I also must admit that as Velasquez beat a man who was just struggling to make his mark in the UFC, Santos beat a ferocious fighter who is well known and a respected name in the MMA world. Frank Mir has beaten the best of the best in UFC and this was never expected to be the sort of cakewalk for Santos as it finally turned out to be.

Junior dos Santos was overjoyed after his easy victory over a formidable fighter like Frank Mir. A beaming Santos said, “I’m feeling awesome…It’s not bad for a nice guy, huh? … Frank Mir is a really good fighter, too. I came here to defend my belt, and I did it…My game plan is always to keep the fight on my feet and go for the knockout…I tried to get him a little tired in the first round, and then go for it. When you believe so much in your performance and yourself, it happens.”

Prior to yesterday’s fight, Frank Mir has been raking in his stomping grounds and proved to be the same top heavyweight he has always been.  Something just hasn’t seemed right since after his most recent win, as we wonder what will be next for him after such a huge loss against Junior Dos Santos.
